Tabata refers to a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout protocol named after its creator, Dr. Izumi Tabata. 

Structure: 

  • 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest

  • Repeated for 8 rounds, totaling 4 minutes

Benefits: Improves cardiovascular fitness, builds muscle strength and endurance, burns calories efficiently, and Increases metabolism.
